WHY

This work reflects my many visits to a small cemetery located on Sanibel Island, Florida. Known as the South Ridge Cemetery it contains 13 grave sites covering the period of 1889 to 1974. At the site is are various wooden and stone monuments to the deceased, including one wooden marker that states:

Unknown Male
Found near
Lighthouse
Died 1961

This work is dedicated to and reflects the possible thoughts of that unknown male.
